The experience to relive the experience
“There
are few books which I want to read again, just to regain the experience.”
I have been
in many situations where I wanted to have the same experience as the first one
but was never able to relive it. And to relive the same moment we almost lose
other opportunities. For instance, whenever I visit Wenger's I was always
looking forward to hotdogs but I recently got to know that their patties are
extremely tasty and I have not tried them yet. Sometimes, we are stuck in a
time where we cannot move on from the previous experience and want to correct
it.
The
process of letting go plays an important role in life. This process to let go
of the past and add more perspectives is vital for growth. Limiting yourself to
just one experience and expecting to have the same one as before is not
justice. Looking back to have the same exposure hinders the actual exposure and
the ladder of growth. Instead of craving for the same let's move ahead to
possess more insights.
Since I
am always looking for book suggestions; my Pinterest account shows me videos
that start with, "I could do anything to read it again for the first
time". I understand the emotions and the relativity to the content but
when you read it again, you can analyze the content in many other ways. Each
encounter will lead to different conclusions which will only enlighten your
different perspectives.
The whole point is 'what is in the past is the past'. We can either regret it or can
embrace to add it as an experience. We can either take it as a lesson or can
feel remorse. What we cannot do is to change it or to have more of it.
But
honestly, I could do anything to relive the surprise of who the Half-Blood
Prince was.
